About this lake
Sturgeon Bay is a bay on the west shore of Lake Winnipeg's north basin near the mouth of the Dauphin River, in the Grand Rapids area. Walleye tagging studies have tracked fish moving through the bay, and anglers fish it from shore and boat for walleye and pike. Sturgeon Bay Provincial Park on Highway 8 offers a sandy beach, campground and boat launch.
