About this lake
Shoe Lake is Nopiming's smallmouth bass numbers lake - anglers report catching smallies all day long, mostly 12-15 inches with a 19-inch fish a realistic bonus. Walleye are present but scarce these days, and the drive in is rough. Backcountry campsites and nearby Nopiming Lodge cabins serve visiting anglers.
