About this lake
A vast subarctic lake of about 2,849 km2 total area, roughly 80% of it in Nunavut, on the Manitoba-Nunavut border. Partly protected by Nueltin Lake Provincial Park, it is accessible only by air and fished by fly-in lodges for trophy lake trout, northern pike and arctic grayling. Lake whitefish are also common.
