North Steeprock Lake

About this lake

Called Steeprock by locals, this big Porcupine Forest lake is a stunner with rocky shorelines and islands. Try the river portion for spring walleye, weedlines for summer pike, and steep contours for whitefish in early August. Two launches with docks, a filleting shack, and a basic campground serve anglers. Special regulations: walleye limit is 2 and all over 45 cm must be released. It can get rough on windy days.

Size: 990.5 ha
