Black Lake

About this lake

Black Lake in Nopiming Provincial Park has been stocked with hundreds of thousands of walleye fry in most years since 2000, and the 2022 assessment turned up walleye, northern pike, smallmouth bass, yellow perch, burbot and cisco. The lake record walleye measured 83.8 cm in 2001, and the record smallmouth hit 52.1 cm in 2022. A campground and the 5.1-mile Black Lake hiking trail make it a full-service wilderness stop.
